Before I get into writing a little ditty about this gorgeous family, I have to preface this blog post with a reminder: Sunday is Mother’s Day! Yes folks, we are less than a week away. Do you know what the Moms in your lives would love to receive? A portrait session with their family. Trust me when I tell you this. Moms spend all their time running around helping with the family (and snapping iPhone photos of the kids along the way) but rarely are they in a shot with their own crew. Nothing beats having some nice portraits done where everyone in the family is looking great. Seriously, trust me. Having said that, I may, just may be able to squeak you into my Mother’s Day Portrait Party that is taking place on Saturday! If you are interested, please send me an email right away. Otherwise, you can always purchase a gift certificate for a full portrait session with me for that special Mom in your life.
A week ago I returned an incredible trip to Australia. This was my third trip to the land of Down Under. I love it there so much. I could talk about Australia for hours but for now, let’s just say that that sweet Australian light is a beautiful thing. While there, I met up with the Hamburger family for a portrait session in Melbourne. We know Chris from his days of working in Toronto as the awesome chef that he is. Today he is married to the lovely Tina and these two have the cutest five month old twins ever! Harper and Riley are quite the little ladies! Tina and Chris chose to do their portrait session at Carlton Gardens in Melbourne. It’s a special place to them because this is where they got married a couple of years ago. I loved that significance and I also loved that this location is a designated World Heritage Site. Pretty cool if you ask me. This was the first time that these four have been officially photographed together and I was so happy that I was the one to do it for them. On that note I will say: Kids grow fast and having your family documented is an important thing. For you. For them. For all the future generations.
P.S. If you are wondering where Harper and Riley’s gorgeous outfits came from, they are from Daisy & Moose and I highly recommend you checking out their shop.
P.P.S. If you happen to find yourself in Melbourne, you MUST stop by the cafe Stagger Lee’s which is located in Fitzroy. Chris is an owner of it and let me tell you, the food there is both stunning and delicious.
P.P.P.S. Yes, their last name is Hamburger. Therefore, Harper and Riley have been dubbed the “Li’l Sliders”. 🙂
