If you have yet to see Part One of Katie & Rob’s wedding, please pause for a moment and check it out. If you are feeling a little lazy to do so, the short of it is: I met Katie ten years ago in a very random way and without her, I would not be the person that I am today. And like the last post, I refuse to apologise for the plethora of images in this blog post. There are a lot of them here and it’s because I love them all.
Katie and Rob’s wedding took place at their residence in the Sunshine Coast of Australia. After their beautiful ceremony, I headed off with them in their rented vintage Kombi to do some portraits. Katie has owned two Kombis in her life and she dreams of the time when she will have another so it was only fitting that they had one for their wedding. When we were finished up with that, we headed back to their home where guests were enjoying tea and some incredible treats on the decks. Shortly after that, we all sat down for lunch at what may be the most beautiful table I had sat at. Katie runs a vintage & retro hire and for the wedding, we brought out all of her goods. I loved all of the incredible details that made the day that much more special. The beautiful food was created by Kylie of The Food Alchemist. Everything she prepared was gluten-free and made with love. Throughout the day, I also worked with an awesome videographer called Mitch of Evernew Studios. I do not get to work with videographers that often so I was happy when him and I became a good team together right from the start. And those desserts?! Don’t even get me started on them. They were all raw, organic and handmade in Byron Bay and if I had been given the chance, I would have consumed all of them. 🙂
It was one of those days where you could look around at any given moment and feel thankful that you were there, that you were experiencing this at such a special place on such an incredible day. Thank you Katie & Rob for having me at your wedding and for allowing me to be the one to capture it all for you.
