Portraits of Miss Ruby | Two Weeks Old

It is such an honour to be chosen to document families again and again over the years. Miss Ruby belongs to my friends Jaime and Jess. She has two older brothers and when each of them was born, I photographed them as newborns (see Benj and see Max). This past spring the family announced that they were moving across the country and that they were expecting baby number three. I was hoping that I would have an excuse to go to Vancouver to visit them and to get some camera time in when she was born but alas, our schedules didn’t match up. A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Jess saying that her and two week old Ruby would be in town and she wondered if I could fit them in. They came to my studio for a session that also included Jess’ Mom. I love that this session was all about the ladies and I love that I was able to photograph Ruby to match her brothers. Because we all know that when it comes to siblings, you cannot choose favourites. 🙂
