If you are an oldest child in your family and have younger siblings, there was once a time when you were an only child. Think about that for a moment. For maybe a year or two (or five!) where it was just you and your parents. Then maybe a little brother or sister came along and your life was forever changed. I remember when one of my best friends was pregnant with her second child and she told me that she was almost mourning for her daughter, knowing that her life, who she would grow up to be, would be altered by this extra human. And it’s not to say that that alteration is a negative thing, it just makes everything different. I am the eldest of three daughters so there was a time when I was an only child. How different would I have been had things stayed that way? I can tell you that my life would had definitely been less rich and abundant than it is now. Two and a half year old Lennox is currently riding that “only child” wave. In a few months, he will have a baby sister. In the meantime, my camera and I visited him to document this life of their family of three. A Day in the life of Lennox and what a great day that was.
